While the demand for natural spring bottled water in the past few years in Australia has increased, it’s important that the bottles don’t just end up in landfill. All Big Springs Water 600ml natural spring water bottles are 24.8 grams and can easily be re-filled from a water coolers or water filtration system.
Big Springs Water has adopted a closed loop lifecycle for all their 15L locally sourced natural spring water bottles. Our 15L bottles are sanitised, filled and delivered to customers. Each bottle is marked with time, batch number and date so we can track the bottle until its return.
After the bottles are delivered and used, they are picked up by the drivers and brought back to the depot. The bottles are then cleaned, sanitised and refilled and the cycle continues. The life span of the bottles is 5-10 years with the average bottle being refilled at least 100 times (or 1500L). Once the 15L bottles are end of life or broken they are picked up and recycled by Kurrajong Recycling, a not for profit organisation employing people with disabilities.
